Condura Run Is On!: Why You Should Join


The Condura Run, on its third year and considered a premier running event in the Philippines, will again take center stage on February 7, 2010 with the full and half marathon participants running the Skyway once more.

1. The 1st Condura Skyway Marathon
The Condura Run has gone further in the past three years from 10km, to 21km and now 42km! Come February 2010, witness the launching of the first full marathon dubbed as Condura Skyway Marathon and be one of its runners.

2. Run on the Skyway. New 3km and 5km Route
Condura is the first and the only run that goes through the Skyway for the half and full marathon. No traffic, no pollution, excellent roads; truly a runners’ wish come true. We also created a signature Condura race route for the 3km with kids and families safety in mind. No running through any major thoroughfares. No crossing major intersections. It will be a runner and spectator friendly course. After all, a big part of what makes a run special is the route.

3. 1 start and 2 finish lines. Exclusive route for 3km/5km and 10km, 21km and 42km
5km runners have their own exclusive running route and finish line. And the 10km, 21km, and 42km also have their own exclusive running route and finish line.

4. Do It Yourself (DIY) Race Bib
Your race kit comes with 2 race bibs. The first bib contains your race number and is needed for you to run and the second is a blank race bib with a cool Dolphin design where you can your name so that spectators can cheer you on as you run. Note: Late registrants will NOT receive a DYI race bib

5. Finisher's Medal for All Race Categories
Finishers of all race categories will receive finisher's medal. Yes it's true. Note: Late registrants will NOT receive a medal

6. Dolphin Souvenir Shirts.
All regular registrants will get a cool collectible Dolphin souvenir shirt.

7. Marching Bands and Cheering Zones
There'll be at least 5 bands along the race route and several cheering zones to give runners the adrenaline boost to achieve a personal best and the energy to sprint to the finish line.

• At least 15 Summit mineral water and 100 Plus hydration stations
• Inspirational signs, distance and directional signs from INSPIRE Inc.

• Over 500 volunteers supporting the runners

• Split timing for full marathon runners

9. Asics Expo at the Condura Village
Asics, as one of the presenting sponsors for 2010, will showcase its latest running shoes and sports apparel while enjoying special discounts only available to Condura runners.

10. Run for the Dolphins
Run not only for a healthier lifestyle in 2010 but also run to make a difference! Php 50 from the race fee shall go to help save the Dolphins of Bohol.

  1. why is it most of the runs for trhe cause always the benificiaries are not the runners or the support for the development of the sports directly for the athletes. filifino runners are way way far copared to the words best. why not give to the development of the sports of athletics.

  2. Hi Coach Salazar, thank you so much for dropping by. It's good that you left this comment. Am sure some of the organizers have seen or read this.

    Filipino athletes deserved the best. Gold harvests in the recently concluded SEAG (especially, the marathon event) were a living testament to the much-improved performance of our athletes. But we still need to strive hard to go for excellence, of being No. 1.

    However, EXCELLENCE means good facilities, enough funds to support athletes' needs, proper training, and following standards for selection of athletes to represent the country, etc. Filipinos are smart people but sometimes being smart posed great problems--too many leaders yet not many followers. If only all can sit down, plan, execute these plans very well, and sustain them--am sure EXCELLENCE is just around the corner.

    Well, am no expert on this but just saying my two cents worth.
