To create the public awareness and consciousness, the Laguna de Bay Conservation Foundation is organizing a two-day run on May 1, Saturday, and May 2, Sunday, covering a 200-kilometer run around the lake.
The first leg starts at the Fontera Verde in Pasig City and finishes at the Laguna Provincial Capitol in Sta. Cruz, Laguna. The second leg starts at Santa Cruz, Laguna passing through Rizal Province and finishes at the Fontera Verde, Pasig City.
With the support and inspiration of the Kaya ng Pinoy–Mount Everest Team as Champions of our cause and in partnership with LLDA, the foundation hopes to instill the values of bayanihan (community participation and mobilization), love of nature (reforestation, watershed protection and solid waste management), and teamwork (harmony and understanding) for the preservation and protection of the watershed areas and the lake itself.
The ultramarathon relay is open to teams representing LGU’s, NGO’s/PVOs and corporate citizens.
